NHL Alumni Game...including the Kawartha Komets

The Jack McGee Kawartha Komets, Peterborough's Special Needs Hockey Program was pleased to be invited by Scotiabank to play a 10-minute game between the 1st & 2nd periods of the NHL Alumni Game with the Police.

All proceeds from the event went to Special Olympics.  Over 25% of our Komets players also play Special Olympics sports so we chose them to participate in the fundraising game.

The Kawartha Komets were recently pleased to accept a sponsorship donation from Scotiabank as one of the many minor hockey teams across Canada that they support!

One of our Komets players, Jesse Campbell, was asked to be the honourary captain of the Police team.

It was a great evening and the Komets didn't disappoint with their exciting mini-game.

The Komets continue to BLAZE and lead the way, blazing the trail for Special Needs Hockey in Peterborough and area.

BLAZE KOMETS, BLAZE!
