Kawartha Komets in the Santa Claus Parade

The Jack McGee Kawartha Komets participated in the Annual Santa Claus Parade again this year.  The theme of the parade, sponsored by the  Kinsmen Club of Peterborough, was Christmas in Toyland.

We are grateful to Bryan Cathcart, owner of Apsley Peterborough Transport for providing the 48 foot flatbed tractor trailer and the driver, TrevorMcWilliams Moving and Cartage generously lent the Komets 25 moving blankets to make the ride for our players warmer and more comfortable.  We also wish to thank Youth Unlimited for allowing us to decorate our float in their parking lot at the corner of Brock & Bethune Streets.

THANK YOU, City Councillor Lesley Parnell, for riding with the Komets again this Christmas and lending your support to Peterborough's Special Needs Hockey Program.

Many thanks to those who helped decorate the float and to those who donated unwrapped toys to be given to the Salvation Army Toy Drive.
