Santa Claus Parade & Salvation Army Toy Drive

The Jack McGee Kawartha Komets Special Needs Hockey Program will have a float again this year in the Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, December 6th at 6:00 p.m.

The theme of the parade this year is CHRISTMAS IN TOYLAND

We are asking Komets families, players and friends to donate an unwrapped toy which will be placed on the float and then donated to the SALVATION ARMY TOY DRIVE after the parade is over.

We need toys for infants newborn to 18 months and for girls and boys ages 10-12.

Toys can be dropped off at the Friends Peterborough office at 283 George Street North, next to the post office and across from The Venue MONDAY - FRIDAY 9:30 - 5:00. For those participating in the parade, you can bring your unwrapped toys to the parade.

THANKS FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION! With your help we can make Christmas more enjoyable for kids in our community!

  1. While getting the perfect toys for your children, what should be kept in mind is the emotional, physical and the creative and imaginative aspects of the children.
