Kawartha Komets Honour the "Real" Super Heroes

Normally I would have been participating in the Annual Kinsmen Club Santa Claus Parade this evening but...I enjoyed the festivities in the warmth and comfort of my pyjamas in our living room recovering from my total knee replacement. So...I sat in my La.Z.Boy recliner...taking fuzzy photos, of the TV screen, showing the Kawartha Komets Special Needs Hockey Program's entry. - David
Article continued following the photos...

The theme of this year's parade was A Super Hero Christmas. The Komets wanted to recognize and acknowledge the many "real" super heroes in our community including our Police Officers, Paramedics, Fire Fighters and the dozens of local agencies and organizations that support individuals in our city and area.
Our thanks to all the players, parents and staff who joined us for this annual event. We appreciated your support!
Thanks to Lisa Hopkinson Mills, our Special Events Co-ordinator, Adam White, coach and board member, for providing the truck and trailer and Komets Founder, Carol Fisher, for her amazing idea of honouring those who serve us so well. If anyone has better, clear photos, please post them. We'll post a list of all the agencies and organizations that we had placards for...later.
