Komets Founder Carol Fisher Honoured

 Kawartha Komets founder, Carol Fisher, was presented with the Gordon and Arbie Holnbeck Award by Mayor Daryl Bennett at the City Hall Council Chambers on Monday, June 6th. 

The Holnbeck Award is presented annually to an individual or individuals who have enhanced the quality of life for persons with disabilities through their volunteer work in the City or County of Peterborough. 

In addition to the founding of the Kawartha Komets Special Needs Hockey Program in 2009, Carol has had a passion to advocate and care for those with disabilities throughout her lifetime.  

CONGRATULATIONS, Carol! You certainly are a worthy winner.
