The Kawartha Komets Special Needs Hockey Program was launched in 2009 by the founder, Carol Fisher. In August 2022, Carol and her husband David retired and passed the Komets on to a new, committed board of directors and group of volunteers

Bowling in the New Year
The Kawartha Komets enjoyed an afternoon of bowling at Bowlerarma on Saturday, January 9th. With the Liftlock Atom Hockey Tournament using up all the ice in Peterborough and area, the Komets exchanged their skates for bowling shoes and had a great time.
