Ice Chips from the Ice Hounds Games

Historic Galt Arena Gardens
The Jack McGee Kawartha Komets paid a visit to the Cambridge Ice Hounds on Saturday and came away with a hard-fought win and a tie.

The Junior Komets pulled out a 4-2 victory in the 1st game.  It was exciting to see Andrew Avery back in the lineup after a bout with sickness.  To celebrate, he potted a goal in the shootout. We have a shootout at the end of each Junior game regardless of the score.  CONGRATULATIONS, Andrew!

Goaltender Colin Gillis-Bateman played a strong game in net. Cory Brown scored an important goal in the game.

A combined Intermdiate/Senior Komets team fought to a 7-7 tie.  Rookie Jacob Zitman potted two goals with assists going to Matthew FisherBrandon Vansickle picked up a hat trick.  Travis Harren tended the net for the Seniors.

We're off to Toronto next weekend to face the Grandravine Tornadoes!

Blaze Komets, Blaze!
