Komets Kommentary

Ian Karswell
The Jack McGee Kawartha Komets were in action twice on the weekend, traveling to Don Mills on Saturday to face the Diamonds and then up to Apsley for a demonstation game.

In the Junior game the Komets lost a close one to Don Mills but came back in the Intermediate/Senior game to defeat the Diamonds 8-5.

Sunday afternoon's event in Apsley was an exhibition game with a number of Juniors and Intermediates dividing in half and playing each other.  The purpose of the game was to showcase what our brand of hockey, Special Hockey International, is all about.

One of our rookies, Ian Carswell (pictured), came from Campbellford to Apsley with his parents to participate.

This Saturday three teams from Newmarket (the Nighthawks) come to the Peterborough Memorial Centre to take on the Komets.

Blaze Komets, Blaze!
