Getting Ready

What a busy week it's been for the Kawartha Komets...well, mostly for Carol.

She has been opening boxes from the NHLPA Goals & Dreams Foundation filled with new equipment and bagging the gear for the players who need to be outfitted. Komets' board member Bob Prole came over one afternoon to help out.

Carol has been washing jerseys and socks, getting them ready for our 1st practice next weekend, Saturday, October 16th.

Needless to say, there is hockey equipment everywhere. Our garage was filled with boxes. Now there's a dozen or more bags of old "stuff" that needs to be sorted. The living room is filled with bags ready to be picked up.

Freshly laundered jerseys and socks are hanging on the clothesline, swaying in the warm, fall breeze.

Carol is finding out what it's like to be co-ordinator, board member, equipment manager and the wife of a General Manager (me...ha! ha!).

Our 2nd season is just around the corner! We're excited!

Are you? Hope so!
